PPS U17 1/2 Lord Mayors Cup Hurling A 2017

PPS U17 1/2 Hurling Lord Mayors Cup Final 2017 A Group Play offs

On Monday 8th of May 2017 the first of the playoff games in the Hurling section of the
Lord Mayors Cup took place in Bishopstown. With weather conditions perfect it was great
to see so many schools taking part.

To help schools prepare senior teams for competitions in both Hurling (2017/2018 season),
it was decided to run an U17 1/2 competition at 3 grades, open to all schools. All schools
county wide were invited to participate and the schools listed below took the opportunity
to take to the fields in CIT and Ballincollig over the last week.

The competition is a joint project between Cork GAA, Rebel Og and Cork Post Primary Schools
and is organised by the coaching staff, headed up by GPO Noel Crowley. The qualifying rounds
will be played over six days, with finals in Pairc Ui Rinn on Fri May 12th for the Hurling,
followed by the Football finals on Monday the 15th May in Pairc Ui Rinn.
