PPS U17 1/2 Football Lord Mayors Cup 2016

Lord Mayors Cup CIT May 2016 (5)To help schools prepare senior teams for competitions in both Hurling and Football (2016/2017 season), it was decided to run an U17 1/2 competition at 3 grades, open to all schools.  All schools county wide were invited to participate and the schools listed below took the opportunity to take to the fields on Wed 4th & Thur 5th May in CIT and Ballincollig.

The competition is a joint project between Cork GAA, Rebel Og and Cork Post Primary Schools and is organised by the coaching staff, headed up by GPO Noel Crowley. The qualifying rounds will be played over six days, with finals in Pairc Ui Rinn on Monday May 16th for the Football and Thursday May 19th for the Hurling.

This initiative is in addition to a further Lord Mayors Cup competition in football ran by Jim Murphy on the 27th April in Football.  Rebel Og Coaching also ran 1st year blitzes on 27th April in both codes and will run 2nd yr blitzes within schools over the next month.

The Finals of the 3 Football Grades will take place on Monday 16th May in Pairc Ui Rinn

Fri 13th in CIT Grade A the 8 Dr Harty Cup Schools

Fri 13th in Ballincollig Grade B Schools 8 in all

Hurling finals will take place in Pairc Ui Rinn on Thursday 19th May
