PPS U17 1/2 Hurling Finals Lord Mayors Cup 2016

The PPS U17 1/2 Hurling Finals of the Lord Mayors Cup 2016 were played on Thursday 19th May in Pairc Ui Rinn, with two Hurling Finals on the day there was a great atmosphere and excitement in Pairc ui Rinn for two great games of hurling.

To help schools prepare senior teams for competitions in both Hurling and Football (2016/2017 season), it was decided to run an U17 1/2 competition at 3 grades, open to all schools.

All schools county wide were invited to participate and the schools listed below took the opportunity to take to the fields on Wed 11th & Fri 13th May in CIT and Ballincollig. The competition is a joint project between Cork GAA, Rebel Og and Cork Post Primary Schools and is organised by the coaching staff, headed up by GPO Noel Crowley. The qualifying rounds were played over six days, with finals in Pairc Ui Rinn on Thursday May 19th for the B & C Hurling finals and Blackrock on Friday 20th for the A Final which was changed to Friday to accommodate schools.

At the end of a great days Hurling Scoil Mhuire glan Small Blarney and Glanmire Community College made the Finals which were played on Thursday May 19th in Pairc Ui Rinn

At the end of a great days Hurling St Brogans College Bandon and North Monastery CBS Cork made the finals which were play on Thursday May 19th in Pairc Ui Rinn

At the end of a great days Hurling C B C, and Midleton CBS, made the Finals which are re scheduled for Friday May 20th in Blackrock this was changed to Friday to accommodate the schools involved.
