GAA WORKSHOP IN MOVEMENT SKILL, FITNESS DEVELOPMENT & INJURY PREVENTION

The workshop will include both theory and practical sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities aimed at developing enhanced movement skills and injury risk reduction techniques. The workshop is open to any coaches from Cork, and is ideal for those who want to introduce something new and challenging to their training sessions. Similar workshops will be held in Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Kerry and Waterford in November.
TOPIC 1 – MOVEMENT SKILL & FITNESS DEVELOPMENT FOR THE GAA COACH
Presenter – Eoin Cadogan (Setanta College Student and Cork Senior Footballer) Eoin will discuss and give practical examples of the most appropriate methods to develop movement skills for GAA players.
Presenter – Colm O’Driscoll (Setanta College Student and Cork Senior Footballer) Colm will cover a very current topic within the GAA – injury prevention, with a key focus on landing mechanics.
