Cork GAA, Rebel Og Coaching and Games are delighted to announce winners of the 2017 Cork County Poc Fada which took place at the Garryvoe Beach on Monday June 12th at 6pm.
On an overcast but dry windy evening our contestants from the following clubs St. Catherines, Inniscarra, Belgooly, Ballymartle, Kilshannig, Fr O Neills, Carrigtwohill, Youghal and Kiltha Og lined up at the start line on Garryvoe Beach under the watchful eyes of GDA’s Paudie O’Brien the event organiser and Shane Supple. We had participants for the Senior Mens and the Under 16’s competition and even though the tide was coming and it looked like rain, there was more then enough room and space to hold the competition. Unfortunately on the night some participants had to pull out because of club commitments, however those that took part made it a very close competition with only 3 points separating the first three places in the competition.
Well done to all the clubs who took part and to our winners on the night well done
