Carraig Na bhFear School Blitz

Today over one hundred and twenty pupils from Scoil an Athar Tadhg in Carraig Na bhFear took to the local GAA pitch to take part in their end of year school blitz. The pupils from 2nd class to 5th class all took part, playing three games each, not forgetting 6th class who were the coaches and mentors for the various teams. Under the watchful eye of the 6th class coaches each game was played, this year it has to be said the skill levels from the players was quite high everyone got to spend some time on the field, so to the local clubs school coach Gavin Web we say well done, Gavin who coaches in the school each week all year round was quite happy with the way everyone played today.

A big thank you to Mr O’Driscoll for having  all the teams organised prior to blitz and ready to go and to all the teachers who gave up there morning in class to make sure everything ran smoothly. Its important to have a good school club link in place and for the school its great to be able to use the fantastic facilities in Carraig na bhFearr GAA pitch.
